I didn't post very much in 2018, so I thought I'd just post some pictures I took over the past year.

Last week was the Chuseok holiday (basically Korean thanksgiving) and my friend and I went to the southern coastal city of Busan for vacation. Everyone travels home to spend the holiday with their families, so reserving bus/train tickets can be a nightmare. We managed to get tickets for one of the slower trains, which was a 4 hour trip. I can't really complain because I read a whole book on the train - Malice by Keigo Higashino, which I recommend.

It's summer break again, so I took a few days off from deskwarming to visit the east coast for the first time. Most people travel down south to the beach town of Busan for their summer vacations, so I've heard that Busan beaches get really crowded. I was looking for something more quiet and less touristy, so I went to Naksan beach. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time I was there, so all of my pictures look bleak and grey because it was.

Hello, readers.
I haven't posted in a while, because I haven't felt like it. I also haven't done very much exciting stuff, and the exciting stuff I have done, I don't really have the motivation to write about. Nevertheless, I thought I'd at least post some pictures from the last few months, so here goes.

I've now been in Korea for a full year! I spent my last few vacation days before the start of the new school year in Tokyo. It was my first time in Japan and it totally exceeded my expectations.
I arrived in Tokyo on Sunday evening, checked into my hotel, and went out in search of food. I discovered that there are Denny's restaurants there. Korea doesn't really do any type of American-style breakfast foods, so I had to have pancakes.

Happy Thanksgiving~ ^.^
I didn't do much to celebrate. I was going to make myself a thanksgiving dinner, but it was going to be expensive to buy all of the ingredients and it would have taken like 3 days to cook everything with my 2-burner stove and toaster oven. So instead I ate a grilled cheese sandwich and pretended it wasn't a holiday. It snowed here thanksgiving eve, though, so it kind of felt like a holiday anyway.
